STONE MEADOW FARM

Our first priority at Stone Meadow Farm is the health and safety of our canine boarders and that is why we work hard at making sure all areas are cleaned and disinfected continuously to prevent communicable canine diseases.  Each new boarder must pass strict behavior qualifications and vaccination requirements. Dogs always enter and exit our facility through 2 sets of doors. When outside all of our guests are either double-leashed or inside secure 8ft fences at all times. A non-chemical product that is safe for delicate paws is used for ice removal.  Outdoor play areas are soft grass, not concrete or gravel.  

Human food is never given to boarders unless provided by the owner. The exception is an occasional baby carrot or natural peanut butter for dogs without peanut allergies. Stainless steel bowls are disinfected continuously. Fresh water is available at all times. Boarders are not permitted to run and play immediately after eating. A minimum 2-hour rest period follows each meal to allow for food digestion which helps prevent bloat.

Balls for play are made out of sturdy material. We never use tennis balls for our larger guests as they can easily slip down throats and cause choking.  We know that there is no such thing as an indestructible dog toy, therefore all toys are checked regularly for safety. Only appropriate toys made specifically for chewing are provided for our aggressive chewers.

Although we are a cage-free boarding facility, if your dog is crated in your own home during the night for safety reasons (i.e., excessive chewing) then your dog will be crated during the night as well while boarding.
