What training methods are used at Stone Meadow Farm?
Learning new tricks and good "doggie" manners should always be a fun and enjoyable experience. Basic obedience commands are used consistently throughout the day on an individual basis and as a group. This is a good opportunity for your dog to earn rewards and feel a sense of accomplishment. We believe that every dog is ready and willing to do whatever we ask if they are given clear direction with love and patience. At Stone Meadow Farm we do not believe in punishment or any kind of physical or negative training practices. We don't permit aggressive behavior in our canine guests and they are never exposed to it from us. We practice only a reward system with praise and treats. Our years of experience has taught us that dogs love to learn and that they learn more quickly in a fun and relaxed environment. Stone Meadow Farm wholeheartedly supports and practices Tamar Geller's nonaggressive approach to dog training.
