Dogs boarding at Stone Meadow Farm spend fun-filled days playing and interacting with each other, chasing balls and squeak toys or enjoying long naps, if they choose. Canine guests enjoy plenty of off-leash exercise outdoors in soft grassy play areas as well as in spacious indoor playrooms. Morning walks are a standard feature. Doggie splash pools are a favorite summer activity on sunny afternoons. At Stone Meadow Farm warmer days end with a long, leisurely nature walk over scenic paths that wind through the woods & around ponds. Activities are based on each boarder's individual pace.
Happy and tired canine guests have the luxury of sleeping on pillow-topped raised cots or therapeutic mats at no extra charge. Before being tucked in for the night boarders enjoy an extra long belly rub and a bed-time snack & hug. We are always close enough to provide a calming touch during the night for an anxious first-time boarder. All new boarders receive a complimentary doggie bag of treats at check-out.
We accept a very limited number of dogs for boarding at one time insuring that each dog receives an abundance of quality individual attention. We believe that simply providing dogs with food, water and shelter is not enough! To really thrive dogs require interaction with humans & other dogs. Adequate mental & physical stimulation is needed to maintain optimal health.
Confining a dog to a lonely room or to a restrictive chain-link run for days on end with nothing to do to pass the time except pace back and forth, lie down, get up...just to lie down again.....as the hours go slowly by is NOT our way of doing things at Stone Meadow Farm. Our boarding concept enables all of our boarders to remain cage-free all day long. Adequate daily exercise and interactive games keep our boarders free from boredom.
No "kennel" cages mean no "kennel" smell. All dogs leave Stone Meadow Farm just as fresh and clean as when they arrived.

Stone Meadow Farm is situated on over ten acres in Edinburg Township, a peaceful and friendly rural neighborhood in Portage County. We are conveniently located minutes from I-76, I-77 and the Ohio Turnpike and easily accessible from Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Warren and all of NE Ohio.
We are a family-owned and operated boarding facility committed to providing the best of care for all our canine guests. We live on the property providing 24-hour hands-on supervision of our boarders. In addition to over 40 years experience in dog care we have completed training through the American Boarding Kennels Association and we continuously strive to keep abreast of current updates in canine training and health care.
We do not warehouse dogs. Our outstanding reputation is based on quality, not quantity. The excellent care provided for each boarder requires that we accept a very limited number of boarders daily. Spoiling, brushing, walking & talking with dogs is our passion. We truly enjoy every aspect of caring for dogs and we specialize in catering to each individual dog's needs. We continuously interact with our boarders throughout their stay. You can feel confident that your dog will be pampered and played with at Stone Meadow Farm by experienced & knowledgeable dog lovers because we have the time and desire to do so.
